2017 Kopano Walk for Economic Empowerment: Welcome to the 2017 Walk!

YOU can make a HUGE difference!

2017 marks the 12th year of the Kopano Walk for Economic Empowerment! Join a community walking in "kopano" (unity) with a goal of raising at least $50,000. 100% of that will go through PEER Servants to our indigenous Christian microfinance partners around the world and ultimately some of the over 150,000 clients they serve. It will provide micro-loans that enable moms and dads to grow businesses to support their families, churches, and communities. It will educate children. It will support programs that are proclaiming God's love. In short, it will extend a bit more of heaven to the materially poor, and to you as well! Please join us!

Welcome to the 2017 Walk!

Saturday, June 3 will soon be here and it's going to be a great day for extending more of the kingdom of heaven to the materially poor!

Please join us for our 2017 Kopano Walk. You can do so in three easy steps (see the left sidebar for more info)...

Step 1: Choose the microfinance partner for which you will walk and your fundraising commitment level.
Step 2: Register.
Step 3: Fundraise by setting up and distributing your own crowdfunding page.

100% of what you raise will go to the microfinance partner of your choice!

Then join us on June 3 at the PEER Servants office (591 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA) for a fun day not only walking around Lake Quannapowitt together, but being spoiled by our corporate partners, enjoying recreation for the whole family, and having a wonderful day of fellowship with other people dedicated to extending the kingdom of heaven to the materially poor.

Step 1 - Choose

Choose which microfinance partner you will walk for and what fundraising amount you will commit to. Microfinance partners include those in Guatemala, India, Moldova, Peru, the Philippines, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, or Where Most Needed. Fundraising commitment levels include $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, and $7,500 (or any amount greater than $250). You have until Labor Day (Monday, September 4, 2017) to fundraise and meet or exceed your commitment level and then make up any shortfall with a personal donation.

Click here for the PEER Servants Youtube Channel. Choose your favorite video, copy the URL, and then enter it in the "Images/Videos" tab of the Admin Panel in your Razoo fundraising page.

Offline Walkers/ Donations

Not big on doing things on the web, or have donors who prefer to give cash or write a check? No problem!

If you would like to raise funds without setting up a fundraising webpage, click here to download a sponsor sheet. You can record your checks/cash from friends and family.

If you do set up a fundraising webpage and have donors who give cash/ checks, you can still post the donations on your webpage to show the progress towards your fundraising goal. Bring your checks/ cash to the Walk, or send them to us.

Boston Details

Are you joining us for the Boston Walk? Here are all the details:
Place: PEER Servants Office - 591 North Avenue, Wakefield, MA. (Park in the lot off Willard Road and look for our registration and hospitality tables near the end of Willard Road.)
Date: Saturday, June 3, 2017
Time: Registration at 9:30 am and Walk Start at 10:00 am
Events: We'll have a fun day for the whole family! Our corporate sponsors will start you off with a cup of coffee and donut upon your arrival and feed you a delicious lunch before you depart. We'll also have fun recreation games for the whole family and drawings throughout the day (you'll get an entry for every $250 raised) with great vacation options, local gift cards, and more. This event is far more than a fundraising walk - it's an opportunity to experience a bit more of the kingdom while we work hard to extend that kingdom to others! We'll wrap up by 2:00 pm.
Rain Site: Same place! We'll come inside for registration, hospitality, and recreation, but not let a little rain keep us from walking around the Lake.
